The title for the layout comes from the book Tigers, Frogs, and Rice Cakes: A Book of Korean Proverbs By Daniel D. Holt. Ko-chu-neun cha-ga-do maep-tta translates to "Though it is small, the pepper is hot." Basically, good things come in small packages! You can go to my Myspace Blog to see some other photos of events from that weekend's Korean/Chinese/Lunar New Year's festivities at the Peabody Essex Museum!
I created this digital layout using the Club Scrap Digital Kit 01/07 Fizz. I wanted to work in the blue from their outfits, so I altered the hue and saturation of the background paper. I also flipped and resized many elements, cut and pasted from the Patterned Dark Pink Cardstock in order to make a fully bordered matte, and added drop shadows and pepper frames. The font is Batang and made use of the Hangul Character Mapping on this site.
