Pro Scrapbookers League

228 Blogged PSL Layouts
These are "just" 228 of the layouts that I completed in last year's PSLs! These are the only ones I managed to blog about so far!

Visit to sign up for this season's Club Scrap Pro Scrapbookers League!

"What is it?
Club Scrap's® Pro Scrapbookers League™ is a fun and exciting place where everyone's a winner! We developed the league in response to papercrafters all over the world who were hoarding their fabulous Club Scrap® materials. Through the utilization of Club Scrap's® own Assembly Line Scrapbooking™ and Cardmaking this league makes scrapbooking a sport by creating teams for camaraderie, presenting weekly crafting challenges for productivity, and offering exceptional discounts and prizes for participating. Don't miss out on this incredible experience at Club Scrap®!"

Last time around, I made over 350 new layouts between two PSL sessions... some from scratch, some using previously assembled pages that needed photographs! It's a great way to inspire yourself to get to work, to sort your photos and print them, create cards, and so much more! You get to see tons of new layouts and cards each week created by so many different people... You'll get extra-credit challenges every week to help inspire you to create in new ways or just jump start your thought process. In the past there have been bonus page design guides given freely to all participants!

And... you can win discounts and free product! Or, sign up for the new non-competitive team to go at whatever pace your heart desires! There are also teams for traditional paper scrapping, digital scrapping, and card making!

I can't wait to see you there!

North Shore Music Theatre - Digital Layout, Freebie, & More!

High School Musical 2 at NWMT by Neith Juch

Club Scrap: Gimme a Ring 1/09 - Club Stamp Digital Kit;
Adobe: PSE 7.0 Cookie Cutter Shapes, Layer Effects and Styles; Altered Hues;
Font: Honey Script;

Thanks to my mother, my girls and their cousin were able to go to one of the last scheduled performances at the incredible North Shore Music Theater! After watching the High School Musical 2 show, the cast came out to request donations in a final attempt to keep the theater open and a large number of them walked around with donation buckets, while the leads gathered at a table to sign autographs and take photographs with their fans. The girls were thrilled to pose with Addi McDaniel, who played Gabriella!

It was a magical performance that was so special to them and so trendy... but feeling like a part of the effort to keep the theater open is what will keep this particular musical dear to their hearts forever!

About a week after the show, NSMT announced that they have one more performance scheduled for February 7th, 2009. It will be a stage production of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day! It may be just a hair young for us, but we can't miss it at only $10 and potentially being the final performance ever at this 55 year old not-for-profit theater in the round!

Anyhow, if you've ever enjoyed a performance at this theater or want to support it, please go to their website and help out! There is hope that enough donation will keep it afloat while it continues to provide live theatre, concerts, and more to the North Shore community, provide teacher's guides and discounted or free admission to schools, and teach theater arts directly to our youth at their academy!

On another note... I enjoyed making this layout so much that I created a free digital template from it, a 2-layer Quick Drop Digital Layout for Club Scrap's 6x6 Page Swap using their Free Digital Demo, and another layout based on the swap page!

I can't give out the layered QDDL here, since it uses Club Scrap's materials, even though they are freebies. Please grab yourself one of the kits and join the swap! Layouts are due by the end of the month! But here is a preview of it (the actual swap players will get it as two flat jpegs without a white box for a photo since I'm too anal to want to control anyone else's photo dimensions)! However, the free digital template that I've created matches this layout, but is 12x12 and saved in grayscale. Please download the full template at!

And... here is that other layout... Unfortunately I did not use my own camera this Christmas and am still waiting for the high res copies of everyone else's photos, so I only have this grainy emailed photo for now! Rest assured, the photo will be replaced by the higher quality image as soon as I have it! This layout used my new template as well as the Club Scrap Free Digital Kit Let Me Count the Ways!

Milestones Books with Rainbow Inks

Milestones Rainbow Inked Books

To create these papers, we're going to use Ranger's Posh Impressions Rainbow Sponge Inks, but ditch the sponges! Instead we'll be monoprinting with a combination of the Rainbow Inks and the Perfect Ink Refresher and then using a brayer with the Rainbow Inks and water from a Mini Mister, we'll imitate the technique from Tag 11 of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas 2008 but use the Rainbow Inks instead of Distress Ink Pads!

All of the juicy details, plus some step-by-step photos, can be found as a tutorial in the Ranger Ink Link Yahoo Group's files as a Guest Inkling for today! If you haven't joined yet, it's a great little group with tons of great designers, store owners, and crafters of all levels... plus tons of Ranger "experts" (including their signature artists) to help inspire you and answer any questions! Each month, I host a new challenge, sponsored by Ranger, with three random winners who get sent some awesome loot direct from Ranger! Every group member is welcome to play along and the challenges vary from product or technique to theme based challenges! And, every week, there is a new Inkling chock full of directions to create a new project or technique!
